I woke up one day and the thought "I must make a Lily of the Valley Collection nightlight" popped into my head. So I made them in many beautiful colors. Here is a 3" x 4" steel blue with a gorgeous rainbow metallic iridescent surface. I had them in my backyard growing up in NJ. I thought it was my mother's flower but it turns out it's actually mine.
If you or someone you loved needs a little extra piece of art to brighten your space this piece could be it.
Here is how I make them.
First I cut the background glass from large sheets. I make the vase out of two layers of glass fire together. Next I layout the design and add frit to the bottom to ground the piece. I fire it to 1350 degrees so everything melts together. After removing it from the kiln I add painted details to bring out the handmade quality of the piece.
Nightlights come standard with a manual on/off switch or an optional automatic sensor which will turn the bulb on when the room is dark and off when it is light. This feature offers convenience , is energy efficient and works best when placed near a window. A 4 watt bulb is included.
Share with family and friends, they make great gifts.
